About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our team in Venice, CA in part time basis. This position is ideal for someone wants to maintain a work life balance and work 3 days a week. The position requires someone who excels in bookkeeping process, accounts receivable collection, accounts payable management, and bank reconciliations.
You will play a key part in supporting the senior accountant with reliable general ledger transactions to produce accountable and timely reporting package to headquarters, collecting receivables and processing payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage AP and AR processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal policies.
- Conduct regular and ad-hoc bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Utilize NetSuite to perform all accounting tasks, including data entry, reporting, and month-end close procedures.
- Respond promptly and professionally to finance-related inquiries from senior accountant and other departments.
- Support external audits and compliance efforts by providing requested documentation and analysis.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and other reporting requirements.
- And other office related ad-hoc tasks as required from time to time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of progressive accounting experience, including inventory, AP/AR, and reconciliations.
- Strong command of NetSuite ERP – prior experience is a must.
- Experience preparing and submitting sales tax filings across multiple jurisdictions.
- Fluent in English and Korean language are must.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under pressure with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Other Requirements
- Must be able to work onsite 3 days a week at our Venice, CA office.
- Must be highly responsive and collaborative, especially with teams located at HQ and other operational functions.
- U.S. work authorization required.
Compensation & Benefits
